Let it Snow!

The family pooch had a blast catching snowballs.
I'm one of those people who loves snow.  I. LOVE. IT.   And this year we're getting a decent outpouring of the fluffy stuff.    There's so much to love about this particular season;   snow, Christmas, my birthday and December.    Four of my favorite things all crammed together.

Maybe December doesn't necessarily count as it's only my favorite month because my birthday and Christmas both happen during December...but whatever.   I'm not known for being exacting.  OH - I know - it's the only month with a "D" at the beginning.    There.   Settled.

A few weeks ago someone gave my husband a very generous gift for he and I to enjoy a night away at Timberline Lodge.
We had a nice dinner  then relaxed by walking around inside the interesting lodge.  We sat next to one of the six enormous fireplaces and I spent a good deal of time knitting  (working on Minnie).  In the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast  and then headed home again.

GAHHH!!!   (rant coming)I am not blogging much because I'm having trouble with the logistics of putting the pictures where they belong.    Every time I add a photo  it lands smack at the top of the post and will not move.    I'm throwing up my hands in surrender.     This might be the last time I even TRY to post.

It's hard to believe it's been thirty years

I remember it very clearly.   I was kneeling in front of my stereo trying to find a station that  (I can't even believe I'm saying this) wasn't playing the Beatles.   I was 17 and didn't have the same musical sensibilities I later developed.   After four or five attempts  I actually said, "Man! Did somebody die?"   Then an announcer answered with the tragic news of John Lennon being shot.

I've since become a fairly devoted Beatles lover.   Yet, it became clear this morning that I am a bad Mother when my daughter said, "Who is John Lennon?".    *gasp*

Blog recommendation - you won't regret it.

I like to laugh.   I like people who are honest.    Nota Supermom is both honest and FUNNYYY!

She's the kind of Mom I enjoy hearing from.  Not a bunch of  "shoulds" and guilt  but  plain old simple common sense and fun and  boatloads of WIT.   I adore her!

I recommend "Not Letting Yourself Go" for starters

Enough of that and upcoming price changes!

The last few weeks have been less than peaceful.   First my son and his illness and 3 round trips to his school in less than a month *groan*  and then I came down with whatever it was that he had that morphed into bronchitis for him.   Fortunately, I have almost fully recovered and my illness only lasted a week.   blah blah blah

I wanted to announce that it will be necessary to raise my apron prices as of January 1st.    I've tried to keep the price reasonable, but it really doesn't match up with the cost of fabric and sewing machine maintenance  etc.    Technically I am supposed to be charging about $75 for each one.   I'm pretty sure I'd never sell any if I did things that way.  I'll be bumping the price up to $50 for a full and $25 for half aprons.

So -  if you're thinkin you'd like a snazzy apron, now is the best time to get one while they are still quite a steal.

Thank you to all of my fabulous customers!!!

OH - and I'm going to start adding in holiday-themed aprons.  I'll start with Valentine's Day.
I'll also be adding more manly options  as well.
