Lupin says, "If you're referring to the incident with the Hosta...I was barely involved."
Annabelle, "Hey. Youze guys. Deez here are amazin!"
I stood watching like a LUMP instead of shooing them away.
Mmmm Hmmm. Barely involved.
Lupin, "Psst. Annnaaaaa. I think she sees you."
Annabelle, "We gotta work fast goils!"
Chorus, "Nom nom nom"
Uh oh! Everybody run!!!
Less than 5 minutes, too.
Stink.

B - I laughed. That poor hosta has had such a rough time of it over the years. Between kids hopping over the fence and Lando trampling it ...it really hasn't stood a chance. :)
ReplyDeleteI think they're hungry! But I'm laughing as I type this.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who finds this post funny (and a tad ironic) coming on the heels of your wonderful gardening post? :)
ReplyDeleteboy they made short work out of that.
ReplyDelete@Andrea - No you're not the only one. That's what was making me chuckle, too.
ReplyDeleteGMTA! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! You are enjoying those chickens WAY too much ;)
ReplyDeleteJust sent you an invite to Dad and Diana's 25th wedding anniversary party. Hope you can make it!
@Cheesy woman - YAY. I hope we can, too. That would be so cool!
ReplyDeleteTotally worth it. That is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOh, I would laugh except that it makes me cry. You have gone nutso. When on earth did you prefer chickens over HOSTAS!?
ReplyDelete@ Nota - I'm giddy that YOU thought it hilarious. That's high praise!
ReplyDelete@Shirin - I guess this confirms that you'll not be wantin' chickens... right? :)
Oh, gosh. You can no longer advertise your eggs as Hosta-Free.
ReplyDeleteWho knew they would be such a delicacy?
And the irony Andrea and you pointed out IS delicious!
@ Susan - Hosta-free. BAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteHostas don't need chickens to disappear around here.... slugs/snails :sigh: Mind you then you could feed the slugs/snails to the chickens... and they might leave the hostas alone. :nah:
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...aren't you feeding them??? hehehe They all look sooooo inacent. The devil made them do it!!! :-)) Shooo them away next time...OK!!! <3
ReplyDelete@ Wookie - Snails are so much nicer to hostas than chickens. :)
ReplyDelete@ Grammy - I'm feeding them nice healthy HOSTA! I couldn't bear to shoo them away. It's like those days when your kids are little and they're doing something adorable but bad (like filling the bathroom sink and floating and entire roll of toilet paper in it) and you can only stand there and laugh.
I can't believe I didn't comment. That is hilarious. I love the progression. Poor little hosta.
ReplyDeleteAwww. Chloe - thanks for the comment love! :)
